“Good grief child! You’ve plastered that gack thick enough for the stage!” her grandfather scolded as we walked into the old man’s parlour. My daughter laughed as she kissed his cheek.
“That’s because I’m on my way to a dress rehearsal Grandad! I told you last time I won my audition!” She giggled, gave a twirl and handed him his ticket.
“The show’s next month and we got you a front row seat – so no more ice-skating between now and then!”
